Write for us
We welcome thoughtful pitches and finished contributions about film scenes, performances, storytelling, film history, and interpretation. A strong piece gives readers a clear reason to look again, without needing specialist credentials or insider access.
What makes a good pitch
Propose one focused idea, name the film or films involved, and explain the detail you want to explore and what a reader might notice by the end. Keep the scope manageable and the angle distinct from a general review. We are especially interested in evergreen ideas that can be developed through careful viewing and reliable public sources.
Writing and sourcing
Use a natural, precise voice and make room for the film itself: scenes, choices, and details should carry the argument. Separate observation from interpretation, support factual background with checkable sources, and flag uncertainty rather than filling gaps with guesswork. Do not send confidential material or claim access you cannot substantiate.
How to send it
Send your proposal through the Contact page, choosing the editorial question option and including a short summary and any relevant writing sample or draft. Proposals are reviewed for fit, clarity, and originality; sending one does not guarantee publication. Please do not submit material you do not have permission to share.
A film is more than its plot
We look closely at the choices that make a film feel particular, while leaving room for readers to see it differently. Attention matters more here than a final verdict.
